BLACK EYED SUSAN NOW COMES IN MANY COLOURS!  A CLASSIC STUNNER!

Description
Did you think that the Black Eyed Susan plant got it’s name from the black centre to the flower?? Well think again! Each seed looks like it has a tiny black eye, the eye of the seed is shiny and it looks like the seed has a hole in it but it doesn’t, it is a trick of light and so the Black Eyed Susan was born!

Now there are other colours of Thunbergia alata – and we have mixed the orange with white and yellow! So you get some of all the colours!

Thunbergia alata is it’s Latin name. As common as they are, most people not only don’t know what they are, they don’t think to grow them. That’s a shame, because Black-eyed Susan vine is as easy care as it is charming. The flowers have an almost pop art look to them, with a solid centre surrounded by a ring of clear coloured petals. The medium green leaves are a little coarse and grow opposite one another. They can be either heart-shaped or a kind of lanced arrowhead shape. The flowers look daisy-like at a distance, but they are actually tubular. Five over-lapping petals surround a brownish-purple centre tube, masquerading as a centre disk.

Stunning in hanging baskets and pots, as a standard, up walls and trellis, it is a winner with it’s happy nature and easy care lifestyle!
