Description
Open-pollinated. From the 1800s, also known as Large Drumhead Savoy. French variety features medium-green large heads averaging 4–6 lb. Mild, juicy and semi-sweet. Moderate storage. Cold-tolerant into fall; may overwinter in warmer climes.

ROUND, MEDIUM SIZED SEEDS.

Grow Notes
Best grown in full sun or part shade.

Stagger your sowing, plant some then give it a week or two and plant some more and you will have cabbages over a more extended time to harvest.

Protect your cabbages from the caterpillar of the cabbage moth by tying old bits of white cloth in a bow shape to pieces of stick or wire, add them all over your cabbage patch and other white moths won’t land as they see their babies will not have enough to eat as many other moths have got there before them – it works!!!

Sow
Sow direct or raise seedlings to transplant into the garden once established. Plant in early Spring, late Summer and Autumn at 5mm depth, 50cm apart with 75cm between rows.

Keep soil moist but never wet or dry.

Germination
3-7 days at 8-30°C

Maturity
140 days.
