These are just so colourful and happy! These are called Painted Daisy as they have such vibrant colours it looks like someone has painted them! Lots of different colours and these can even be eaten! That’s right – you can marinate the flower buds to make capers!

They are from the Chrysanthemum family. They are also called Pyrethrum Daisies! You can include this multi-tasking flower in the vegetable garden as they will control insect damage.

Grow Notes
Plant in a well-drained soil in a full sun to part shade location.

Cut back after flowering to encourage a second flowering.

Sow
Start from seeds four to six weeks before your last frost date or in Spring. Planting direct where they are to grow or in pots, 1mm deep, 35cm apart.

Keep soil moist, never wet.
