CUCUMBER POINSETT DISEASE RESISTANT CRISP CLASSIC GREAT FOR SALADS AND PICKLING TOO! $2.00

Mid to early slicing variety that produces crisp and delicious cucumbers that are 6 to 7 in. long. Very good yields and highly reliable. Resistant to Leaf Spot, Anthracnose, Scab, Downy Mildew and Powdery Mildew.

Cucumber Poinsett seeds have been treated with a non-toxic sulphur mix so they are accepted for import by quarantine. Do not eat seeds or give them to livestock.

HARVESTING OF CUCUMBER:
Pick slicing cucumbers when they reach 15-20cm long; pickling cucumbers at 5 to 10cm or so. Keep mature cucumbers picked off the vines to encourage a longer, abundant yield. Harvest cucumbers for pickling early in the morning.

Grow Notes
Plant in well drained, fertile soil in a sunny spot protected from strong winds.

Can be grown on the ground or as a climber on a trellis. A trellis or support structure will help with keeping water on the roots and not the leaves as they are susceptible to Powdery Mildew, so overhead watering should be avoided.

Sow
Sow direct or raise seedlings in Spring, after frosts have passed, or early Summer.

Sow at 10mm depth with 40cm plant spacing and 80cm row spacing.

Keep soil moist but never wet.

Germination
4- 10 days at 18-35°C

Maturity
60- 70 days.
