LAVATERA TRIMETRIS MALLOW HERB – HEART SHAPED LEAVES AND BIG FLOWERS THAT ARE GLOSSY AND LOOK JUST LIKE SATIN! $2.30

LAVATERA TRIMESTRIS IS ALSO CALLED MALLOW, A FULL MIX OF COLOURS!

Lavatera trimestris or the Annual Mallow is a fast growing, herbaceous and shrubby annual with attractive heart shaped mid green leaves. The lovely, silken, open bell shaped flowers are produced in shades of rose, lilac/purple and pink with some white varieties as well.
These very striking flowers are up to 8cms wide and appear in summer and autumn in great profusion.

Pretty Lavatera adds a romantic note to the garden. Looking almost like a hollyhock flower, lavatera has an abundance of blooms in jewel-tone shimmering shades. A mature plant is a sight to behold in the garden, one of those plants visitors will immediately gravitate toward and admire. The butterflies, birds and bees love it too!

This easy-growing annual is great for large containers or the back of the border. These grow into a small shrub of about 2 foot tall and flower continuously over a three month period (hence the name Trimestris), gather the seeds for next year or let them self-seed.
