This silverbeet is tender and sweet. The leaves are a lovely shade of green and have pure white stems. The growth is quite compact. It is quick growing and hardy and usually grows over more than one season.

Silverbeet ‘Lucullus’ was named after an Italian general who seemed to be almost indestructible and was a great gardener too!! It’s an Italian heirloom silverbeet first heard of around 1914. The white stems contrast with heavily savoyed green leaves. A medium-sized silverbeet to 50 cm tall, it is highly productive and able to be ‘cut and come again’.

Prefers full sun in moist, well-draining soil.
