The seeds can be sown anywhere in Australia at any time of the year. They mature within 3-5 weeks! This vegetable has deep purple leaf and flower stalks and dark green leaves. The plant grows vigorously, matures quickly and produces lots of flower buds for vegetable use. The entire plant can be eaten besides the roots.

The young stalks and flowers are very tender and excellent for stir-fries. This vegetable is tolerant at low temperatures too and can be grown all year round in Australia! As with most Asian greens they can be eaten raw and only need very light cooking for best results.
They are all great with a garlic sauce no matter how they are cooked. Plant seeds 0.5-1.0 cm deep, 5-10cm apart and thin for cooking as they grow larger. For a continuous supply plant in succession as they mature very quickly.

PLEASE NOTE: These seeds have been treated with a fungicide, please do not eat the seeds or give them to livestock. The treatment will quickly dissipate once planted and will not linger in the soil or the plants they grow. They are treated so we are allowed to import them.

Grow Notes
Plant in full sun, in moist, well-draining soils.

Sow
Sow direct or raise seedlings anytime. Plant at a depth of 8mm, with 5cm plant spacing and 40cm between rows.

Keep soil moist, not wet.
