This one grows to about 30cms tall, the bulbs are smooth and tender and form above the soil. Tastes best when harvested at 2 to 3 inches, about the size of an apple, sew a few seeds over a longer period to spread out your harvest. They are a 19th century heirloom veggie that is delicious steamed and boiled.

Grow Notes
Prefers full or part sun, in moist, well-draining soil.

Sow
Sow direct in Spring, Summer or Autumn, planting at 5mm depth. Space plants at 20cm and keep 40cm between rows.
