An Asian variety from Thailand also known as Hmong Red that produces bright red, round, ribbed fruits 75mm diameter (3”) on 60-90cm (2-3’) plants. Fruits are lovely when green but bitter when red and the red ones are used extensively in Asian cuisine. Best when harvesting young (green). Used as “miniature pumpkins” in floral arrangements.

Grow Notes
Plant in full sun in moist, well-draining soils.

Sow
Sow direct or raise seedlings in Spring, planting at 5mm depth and 70cm spacing with rows 80cm apart.

Keep soil moist but never wet.
