DIY Attractant Tip!
All you need is Apple Cider Vinegar! Put the dry stem into the hole in the centre of the underside of the bottle top first, a swollen stem might be hard to attach. Dip the stem in the vinegar (you can also get the same result from Balsamic Vinegar) making sure plenty is soaked up, dripping is quite ok. You can also dispense with the stem and just pop in some old banana, old apple or yeast and water into the bottle. Melons of any kind, tomatoes, bananas and apples are their favorites. Surprisingly, rotten onions and potatoes are also a big draw. Just remember that you will need to smell it too so if the putrid smell of rotten potatoes turns your stomach – don’t do it!
