Pumpkin Gunsynd is a heirloom pumpkin with segmented type, it produces very high yields of uniform fruits around 6-7 kilos with richly coloured orange flesh. An excellent variety with a very strong vine suited to harsh conditions. Tolerant of high heat and resistant to powdery mildew.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that is prefers to be in the scorching heat, just that it doesn’t effect it too much if it happens as long as water is kept up to it. Adaptable to most good garden soils but prefers a rich soil with generous amount of water in full sun.

It is quite rare in Australia. Which is odd as it is perfectly suited to our climate and lifestyle. This is a set and forget kind of vine that is ultra strong and will need only basic care.
